River:  Bible's broken ... contradictions, false logistics, doesn't make sense.  So we'll integrate nonprogessional evolution theory with God's creation of Eden.  11 inherent metaphoric parallels already there. ... Noah's Ark is a problem.  We'll have to call it Early Quantum State Phenomenon - only way to fit five thousand species of mammal on the same boat.

Shepard:  Give me that!  River, you don't "fix" the Bible.

River:  It's broken.  It doesn't make sense.

Yes, I don't think there's a regular Serenity crewmember or passenger I don't love watching. Shepherd Book is pretty interesting, though Kaylee's got my heart more than anyone else.

My favorite quote from that episode is at the end. River is reading something and Shephard Book walks up to her. Without even looking up, River says "Keep on walkin', preacher man." The delivery is perfect!

Yes, I briefly considered including that line, because it's my favorite too, but out of context or without some bit of explaining (to those heretics who have never seen Firefly), it just doesn't have the same impact :-D

But it doesn't surprise me that it's your favorite line in that episode too!
