I am trying to give people a good idea of the person they have exhibited interest in getting to know, so that they can decide before contacting me whether to waste my time or not.

I would agree that few profiles are perfect, but there are ways of saying that that are not rude like the one above. It's true he didn't request any deletions, he *ordered* editing. Rude.

Plus, I don't really think profile style is something for random strangers to comment on uninvited - as joreth mentions, part of the reason for a profile is so viewers can work out whether or not it's worth their time & others' to get in touch.

My profile is really long & detailed; this is intentional - it puts off people who can't be bothered to read it or see something they object to & it attracts the kind of people I'm more likely to be interested in. Why someone (like Kelian) who doesn't fit into that category thinks I'd care about their opinion is beyond me.
