I have a YouTube account where I favorite a lot of videos so I can easily find them and show them to my friends. Many of my favorite videos keep getting taken down. So a few of them, I have downloaded and re-uploaded to my own account to prevent them from disappearing entirely when I want to show them to other people. One of those videos is an interivew with Richard Dawkins on the God Delusion.
Today, I got an email about it:
I hate to admit my father is a high ranking millionaire free mason but its true i am from a powerful family. Dawkins is a Illuminati puppet he is a fake decietful fool. I regected joining the free masons and want to point out some facts Dawkins fails to mention religion is harmless it is the manipulation and control of religion which is dangerous Tebet prooves religious people can be peaceful it is Athiest Chinese soldiers killing and beating people there.The other thing Dawkins doesn`t like is questioning what we are told when it comes to polatics well here is the problem if a source is shown to lie how scientific is it to believe it without checking out the facts. I am sorry I am dyslexic and spelling is like a 5yr old but am sure you have a high enough IQ to understand the points I am making
I just didn't have the patience to point him towards all the other blogs and resources that give examples of how even "harmless" religion isn't harmless (the Dali Lama being a fascist dictator who tortured people, for example, or more subtle is the encouragement of anti-intellectualism and false reasoning leading to gullibility of the masses allowing for the more obviously cruel to gain support and leadership, blah blah bla) or how this moron doesn't seem to have a clue about biology or science or the scientific method works or the fact that Dawkins is a scientist who arrived at his conclusions after much questioning (blah blah blah).
Yeah, I have a high enough IQ to understand that it's not just this guy's spelling that is that of a 5-year old. I just responded with "fuck off". I'm too tired to deal with any more morons today.
