Um, I just logged onto OKC to check my inbox and between reading one email and replying to it, I got a message saying that someone just saved me to his Favorites list.

Personally, I think poly is one type of relationship structure that could really benefit these types of people because sometimes what they're looking for is non-marriage but will still accept some kind of emotional connection (at the very least, a friendship), but my personal experience with them has not been pleasant. The guys I've had contact with want some trophy girlfriend who looks hot to show off, have lots of sex with, keep her mouth shut and not have any strong opinions on anything and in return, he'll buy her shiny stuff. This is the implication I get from this guy, whether he intends it or not.

But, you do have a good point, "serious" in mono is not the same as "serious" in poly since the mono version usually includes exclusivity and sexual fidelity.

But having someone to pay my rent and buy me shiny stuff (as long as it's not diamonds!) wouldn't be a bad thing!
