joreth: (Nude Drawing)

I found the coolest image on www.methings.com/podcasts/index.php?iid=3251 and I'm not putting it behind a cut because I think everyone should see it:

Thank you!

As a parent of an 11 year old, I can see this sort of thing being a great instructional tool. I have nabbed it and saved it in the SCIENCE photo file. Anything that makes it easier for me to keep my child and our collection of family kids safe and smart is great!!!

I'll watch for any updates. :-)

Totally awesome. I'll have to fix the HPV stripe of the Penis column, Mouth row cell -- it looks like it just wasn't colored in properly. But this is definitely worth keeping around and memorizing.

Actually, the Mouth row looks problematic in a few places. I expect this chart to be symmetric along a top-left, bottom-right diagonal, and it's not.

Hand and Mouth columns looks fine, but Vulva/Vagina shows low risk for HPV, medium risk for herpes, and medium risk for hepatitis, whereas the corresponding cell in the Mouth column shows medium risk for HPV, high risk for herpes, and low risk for hepatitis.

Similarly, on the Mouth row, the Mouth-Anus cell shows medium risk for HPV, but on the Mouth column, the Mouth-Anus cell shows low risk for HPV.

So I'm a bit skeptical about mouth-related information in this chart.

Ah, but the original doesn't have this problem:

So it looks like you're in the middle of updating the chart for us!
