I also think "insecure" and "clueless" is mean, but *this type of couple* really is insecure and clueless :-D
The "safari hunter" term came from "Married couple on safari, looking to bag something they can use as a sex trophy" and I kinda like that one too, but I can see people being offended by it.
Personally, I think that all households, mono and poly alike, should have one room for each adult - whether it's a bedroom or a workroom or an office or a rec room or whatever. Some place that they can decorate as they choose, they can be alone or they can invite in who they choose, a room that is not subject to the whims or desires of anyone else.
If I decide to share a home again, I might never sleep in my own bedroom, but dammit, I will have my own bedroom! If, for nothing else, each member of the group should be allowed to have their own "alone" time without the non-invited persons feeling kicked out of their own bedroom!
