I don't have a phone that takes video, but I've recently seen people posting on Facebook that people should stop turning their phone sideways when they shoot video. Presumably the reason is that because many websites to which one can upload video will only display that video in the vertical format. I hope everyone sorts this out before I get a phone that takes video. That leaves about a decade or so for this argument to settle out. :)
