Directly competing against someone, maybe not so much, but in most other instances, they're awesome to watch and learn from.
Feeling inferior because of that, especially if it's something she's worked on for a long time and you haven't, is kind of pathological. And cheats one out of a lot of good feeling, and maybe education.
