To this I would add that the MMR vaccine (one that gets routinely bashed by the anti-vaxers) needs adult boosters, too! I developed mumps when I was 26. The Naval hospital was still open at the time, I had no insurance or money but when we realized what it was my ex & her brother (our housemate) were both covered under military healthcare & they went to the base hospital to get checked. The Drs there said there was a wave of it moving thru Orlando & a bunch of the Naval personnel had it, and noted that for healthy adults it was no biggie but for elderly people whose vaccinations had worn off or for unvaccinated kids it could literally choke them to death. People don't even THINK about things like mumps any more.
