I understand. I wasn't meaning to criticize what you put together. I think it will be helpful to many.
I have experienced many a new person, who believes they have to go out and buy the black or the red or the leather, and have found that expressly saying "whatever you're comfortable in, be it pjs or work clothes or a bunny suit - is fine," really helps put them at ease. Obviously this won't work for places with dress codes in place. But for those places without dress codes, by giving specific examples (all black, red and black, silver and black) and not giving specific examples to the contrary, I can see where the uninitiated would feel pressured to conform to the "dress code" the examples imply.
