Once again, the Bush Administration has decided that "religious right" trumps public healthcare.  Please, everyone, take the time to sign this petition and paste it in your own blogs and email it to everyone you know.  McCain is on the same side, btw.  This is the primary reason why I'm an Obama supporter (that and McCain is a moron who can't run a clean campaign).

Subject: 25 days to protect women’s health

George W. Bush has launched a new assault on birth control and reproductive freedom.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently proposed regulations that could seriously undermine access to basic reproductive health services -- including birth control and abortion.

Instead of striking a careful balance between individual religious liberty and patients’ access to reproductive health care, the Bush administration has taken patients’ rights and their health care needs out of the equation.

This far-reaching proposal doesn’t need congressional approval. But, it can’t go forward without allowing for public comment. That’s where you come in.

The deadline for public comments is fast approaching -- September 20 -- and we have to generate intense opposition to these dangerous regulations.

I just sent HHS my comment urging them to stop efforts to block women's access to basic reproductive health services. You can do the same here:

For my own reference and anyone who cares, I'm posting the schedule of panels and workshops I plan to attend.

I have several conflicting panels (which are all color-coded) but the panels I am currently leanings towards choosing have a bold box around them.

Other entries in this series are:

Dragoncon Maps - these are all large jpgs that can be downloaded and printed or stored on the iTouch, iPhone, or any other PDA that accepts jpg images.  They include detailed maps of all levels of all hotels of the convention, which are also available in PDF form as the Pocket Program directly from the Dragoncon website.
Dragoncon Food Map - Google Maps offers a list of all the restaurants within walking distance of the con hotels.  This map can also be saved to a PDA as a jpg for reference at the con, or follow the link to the actual Google Maps page with the restaurant listings.
