Some fucking idiot senator wants to cut all funding to Planned Parenthood because he's anti-choice (against abortion - I will never again call them "pro-life" because they are very clearly not pro-the-woman's-life).
As the senator in this video says, the Title Funding that the asshat wants to cut very specifically does NOT cover abortion services. First of all, let's just overlook the fact that abortion is a legal medical procedure, regardless of anyone's personal viewpoints on it.
But most importantly, this would remove all federal funding of a medical service provider that is, as Senator Quigly reminds us, the primary healthcare physician for millions of women. It would remove funding for breast exams, pelvic exams, and FAMILY PLANNING SERVICES.
And the abortion services won't have been affected in the slightest because that particular source of money doesn't cover abortions - that funding comes from elsewhere (mostly the patients themselves).
It's days like this that make me wish I could run up and beat the living shit out of these guys, let them call an ambulance, and have the 911 operator say "I'm sorry, we've had a budget cut for all male emergency services and we can't help you right now. Try using a bandaid."
