Ah, Nostalgia!

My apologies!!  The auto play function is a browser setting, not in the embed code.  I tried to put all these behind a cut so it wouldn't do that when you visited your friends lists, but LJ screwed that up the first time.  Looks like this time it worked.

I found the most awesome website! It has audio uploads of really old children's records! Each file is merely a sample of the entire album (trying to get you to purchase the whole copy from the owner) but some of them are quite entertaining! Here are a couple of my favorites:

What Are Stars?:

Wow! When I hit my Friends page, the three clips all started playing at the same time.

At first I thought today's xkcd had a soundtrack, until I scrolled down, saw these, and paused each one.

I don't know if there's a way to make them not start playing automatically? I'm using Firefox, if that makes any difference.

The clips look like they will be much fun, once I get over the shock and listen to them one at a time. :-)

They did the same for me. I just stopped them all, rewound them then played them one at a time. Having all three going at once though was kinda weird and fun. :-)

[livejournal.com profile] femetal and I use Safari and had the same thing happen. In fact, the morass of all three files playing simultaneously became what I woke up to this morning, and [livejournal.com profile] femetal gets up before I do and loads her f-list before I usually get up. Needless to say this was startling to both of us, and more than a bit unpleasant.

All fixed. Thank you so much! Also, I thought these were super neat, and worth the unexpected startlement. Ah, nostalgia indeed.

I like the last one best. I'm sad it cut out early on. "Atom Juice"! *big grin*
