Hunh. What a moronic dick. I got called Olive Oil once, too. By a guy in the stocks at a Renaissance fair. Of course, it was pretty much his job to be a moronic dick. But for others I guess it's just a hobby.

My theory is that some people just don't have any idea what to do with women who are really attractive who don't also pretend to be dumb. They need to find some way they can consider themselves worthy of you and so tossing a few insults your way seems the thing to do.

I happily read your entire profile when I first found you on here. I think if someone takes the time to write about themselves then it's probably going to be helpful to you to read it and start to know and understand them.

How often do you consider giving up on OKC when you get this stuff?

Well, since I'm not actually on OKC to meet people, I don't consider giving up very often, but days like these make me want to pull all my profiles down anywhere and go off the grid.

That would stink for those of us who don't suck though :)

Maybe because you've actually taken the time to write a profile that shares something authentic about your complex self, without being all desperate for affection, and that threatens 'em or something. Huh. You certainly collect far more than your fair share of teh Net Skeez. :P

The scary thing is that my very offensive profile has cut down on the responses I get. The only difference is that now I get the "you're a bitch" comments in addition to the "nice pics, wanna fuck" approaches.

I am curious... what profile is the one that gets all the net skeez (to quote Summer Jackel)? The one here seems harmless as does the one on you myspace.

Perhaps a bit harsh for my taste, but then since you are not me and it does suit you then these jerks are just that. Well moronic jerks.

Yes, it's absolutely harsh. The whole point is to make people not want to talk to me and asking politely does not work. And, as I mentioned in a previous post, most women's method is to either politely decline or say nothing at all. It is my opinion that you can not receive what you do not ask for. If we don't tell these guys that their method is unacceptable, it is not reasonable to expect them to change their method. Since no one else is doing it and we can't rely on numbers, someone has to make up for it in volume.

The point, here, is that it's OK to not like me. But you don't have to contact me just to tell me you don't like me. That wastes both of our time.

Hmm he sounds bitter, perhaps he is disappointed that your profiles opening statement poured cold water his poor delusional ego. I expect he was looking for a brain dead nynfo with no personalty to fulfill his personal fantasies.

Let me see if I can find a icon to suit the response I would give to his ilk.

Sorry, I like it that way. The internet is filled to overflowing with people who have obnoxious backgrounds and hard-to-read print. At least it's not a myspace page that automatically loads music whether you want it or not.

My world just shrank a little. Another of my LJ friends just posted a link to Tacits journal. Which puts you and I at 4 degrees of seperation.

Really is too small a world sometimes.
