Yay Civil Rights!

We now have 5 states that legally allow gay marriage and D.C. approved a bill accepting gay marriages as legal if performed in an area where it was legal to perform it.

And Obama gets rid of Abstinence-Only Education funding.

It was astonishing to see Prop. 8 pass in CA, but I think it's working out in the long run.  The battle for gay rights and sex education is heating up and people are being made aware.  I think most people really didn't care about gays marrying or kids getting sex ed in schools, but the vocal minority far-right would have us all think they represented the majority opinion.  Now that the true majority, who really couldn't give a shit what other people do, are being forced to speak up because the conservatives are bringing these issues to their attention.

Kinda like church groups picketing adult-themed movies ... most of the ticket sales go to people who wouldn't have heard of it if it weren't for the religious nutjobs making a big deal about it.

It's an exciting time to be alive.

Yes, thank heaven!

As I always said, those who think teens aren't going to have sex, is deluding themselves.
